Call Waiting

Call Waiting alerts you with a beep during a telephone conversation that another call is waiting to be answered.  You can place your present call on hold and answer the incoming call.

Cancel Call Waiting

You must dial a selected code (*70) before dialing the telephone number you desire.  This will cancel call waiting for the duration of a single call.  You must activate the code each time you desire to cancel the call waiting service.  To activate, dial *70.

Call Waiting Deluxe

Call Waiting Deluxe alerts you with a beep during a telephone conversations that another call is waiting to be answered.  It also allows you to see the calling party's name and phone number, date and time (if available) while on an existing call.  Your conversation will be interrupted for a brief moment (less than 1 second) while this information is being received.  A special display device located on or next to your phone is required to allow you to view the calling name and number, date and time.  To subscribe to Call Waiting Deluxe, you must have Caller ID Deluxe.

Call Forwarding

 

Variable:

Allows you to forward all calls to another telephone number.  To activate, dial *72.  To cancel, dial *73.

 

 

 

 

 Fixed:

Allows you to forward one (1) preselected number to another telephone number.  This feature is activated at the SCTC office.

 

 

 

 

Busy Line:

Allows you to forward your calls to another telephone number when your station is busy.  To activate, dial *90.  To cancel, dial *91.

 

 

 

 

Don't Answer:

Allows you to forward your calls to another telephone number when you do not answer after five (5) rings.  To activate, dial *92.  To cancel, dial *93.

 

 

 

 

Remote Activation:

Allows you to activate and deactivate your assigned call forwarding features from a remote location.

 

 

 

 

Note:

No matter which type of call forwarding you choose, if you forward to a long distance number, you will be charged the long distance fees in reverse.  These fees will be billed by your long distance provider at your plan rate.

Three-Way Calling

Three-Way Calling allows you to add a third party to an existing telephone conversation.

Toll Control With Pin Override

Toll Control with PIN Override allows you to prevent long distance calls from being made from your telephone line.  It can be overridden on a per call basis by dialing a special access code plus your PIN.  Incoming and local calls are not affected by activation of this feature.

Speed Calling

Speed calling allows you to call pre-selected telephone numbers quickly by dialing an assigned code.  This service can be for 8 or 30 preselected telephone numbers.  To set up or change speed calling features. 

 

Speed Calling 8 - Dial *74, listen for 3 beeps, enter code 2-9 plus the telephone number.

 

Speed Calling 30 - Dial *75, listen for 3 beeps, enter code 20 - 49 plus the telephone number.

Do Not Disturb

Do Not Disturb - Allows you to prevent incoming calls from ringing at your station.  To activate, dial *54; To cancel, dial *55.

 

Do Not Disturb With PIN Override - Allows callers who have your pin number to override the Do Not Disturb feature and ring your telephone.

Personal Ringing (Teen Ring)

Personal Ringing (Teen Ring) allows you to have up to three (3) telephone numbers on one line with unique ringing patterns (and unique call waiting tones, if you have the call waiting feature).

Warm Line

Warm Line allows you to call a pre-designated telephone number or emergency service by simply lifting the handset.  If you do not wish to dial the pre-designated number, you may dial any other number febore 15 seconds has elapsed.

Hot Line

Hot Line allows you to call a pre-designated telephone number or emergency service by lifting the handset.  No other calls can be made with this feature.

Telemarketing - Do Not Disturb

How it works:  Telemarketing DO NOT DISTURB allows you to prevent unwanted calls from those numbers that show up out-of-area, unavailable or unknown, usually indicating a Telemarketing company.  These callers will be intercepted with an announcement saying, "you have called a number which does not accetp calls from telemarketers.  All other callers may press (1) if they wish to complete the call."

Repeat Dialing

Repeat Dialing allows you to continuousle attempt to re-dial a busy number that you have dialed.  Hang up the phone after receiving a busy signal.  Then pick up the handset and listen for a dial tone.  Dail *66.  When theline becomes free, you will be alerted with a special ringing and the call will automatically be made.  To activate, dial *66; To cancel, dial *86.  May be automatically accessed for 75¢ per use.

Call Return

Call Return allows you to dial a code and have a call automatically returned to the last party who called or attempted to call you.  To activate, dial *69; To cancel, dial *89. May be automatically accessed for 75¢ per use.

Call Trace

Call Trace allows you to automatically dial a code to have the last caller's telephone number stored at SCTC.  This is used in cases of obscene, threatening, or harassing calls.  To activate, dial *57.  Customer will be charged $5.00 per use for this feature.  Records of these calls can only be released to the proper authorities by subpoena.

Preferred Call Forwarding

Preferred Call Forwarding allows you to create a list of phone numbers that are to be forwarded when they call you.  When a call arrives from a phone number that is on your list, the call is forwarded when this feature is activated.  All other calls will ring in normal fashion.

Call Screening

Call Screening allows you to create a list of phone numbers from which you do not wish to receive calls.  Calls from this list are sent to an announcement that informs the caller that you are not receiving calls at this time.

Caller ID Deluxe

Caller ID Deluxe lets you see the calling party's phone number and name before answering a call.  A special display device located on or next to you phone allows you to view and store the callers phone number and name. 

Caller ID Block

Caller ID Block allows you to dial a code which will prevent your phone number from being made available to the party you are calling.  To activate, dial *67.  May be automatically accessed for 25¢ per use.

Anonymous Call Rejection

Anonymous Call Rejection automatically routes incoming calls marked as "Private" to an announcement.  The announcement indicates that you do non accept private calls.  To activate, dial *77; To cancel dial *87.

Call Send

If you have Caller ID Block and need to call customers that alsow have this feature, you must deactivate Caller ID Block on your phone.  To do this, you must dial *82 before dialing the number and your telephone number will be unblocked and the call will ring the party you are dialing.

Special Call Acceptance

Special Call Acceptance allows you to screen incoming calls by creating a list of phone numbers from which you are willing to accept calls.  Calls from numbers not contained on your list are sent to an announcement that tells them you are not receiving calls at this time.

Priority Ringing

Priority Ringing allows you to program your telephone line to ring with a special ringing pattern whenever you are called from a select list of phone numbers.

Voice Mail

Voice Mail allows you to receive messages while you are talking on the phone or if you are away from you home or business.  You will have the ability to receive mor than one (1) message at a time.  This service does not require you to have any special equipment.

ISDN

With ISDN, these lines are digital linked, making your communication needs three (3) times faster.  With three (3) lines available, 2-Data, 1-Business, or 2-Business 1-Data, this is ideal for heavy internet users and businesses.  The customer will be required to purchase a terminal adapter for their home or business for this feature.
